Big B proud of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Last year it was dhak dhak girl Madhuri Dixit-Nene who received the
prestigious award Padma Shri from the President of India and now this time
around its going to be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who would be honoured with this
award.

Amitabh Bachchan speaks on this eve and feels proud of her bahu Aishwarya

“I would rush to be in time for the President’s Award Ceremony at the
Rashtrapati Bhavan, where Aishwarya will be honoured with the Padma Shri. It’s
a moment of great pride for all of us.”

Further the legendry actor speaks, “She will become the 5th Padma Award in
our household. My Father with the Padma Bhushan the first, then the Padma Shri
for me, followed again by the Padma Bhushan to me some years later, Jaya’s
Padma Shri and now Aishwarya’s. This must be a record for the country. 5 Padma
Awards in one family. God has been very kind to us. The people of this land
have been very kind to us. We are humbled and with bended knee and bowed heads
acknowledge your affection and care and love.”

Padma Awards were announced on the eve of the Republic Day. Aishwarya is
the youngest person to ever achieve this honour from the film fraternity.
Apart from her even Akshay Kumar’s name was also announced for this

Robot Rajini romances Aishwarya

Remember director Shankar’s previous film ‘Anniyan’, in which Vikram’s character of Ambi transforms to Remo just to win his childhood love, Gayathri’s (played by Sadha) affection?

If reports are to be believed, it is a very similar premise upon which the Robot Rajini is created in ‘Endhiran’. Rajini plays a scientist cum professor in a college and is smitten by Aishwarya Rai. But the actress does not reciprocate and this is when Rajini receives an offer to make a robot. The professor uses this chance to create a robot which is his look alike and makes it modern for Ash to like.

Scenes in the film, which show the robot Rajini buying modern clothes in City Centre or styling its hair in a posh salon in Adyar are said to be thorough complete laugh riots, also similar to Rajini dabbing Fair and Lovely or doing face packs to look fair in ‘Sivaji’-The Boss’.

‘Endhiran’, produced by Sun Network, is director Shankar’s second film each with Rajini and Aishwarya Rai. Raju Sundaram has choreographed for professor Rajini for a song while Lawrence has choreographed for the Robot Rajini. Grapevine also has it that Shankar might seek the help of renowned Indian Hollywood filmmaker, Manoj Night Shyamalan, in making this film.

Aishwarya Rai wants to have Babies

reigning queen aka most beautiful woman in the world Aishwarya Rai let slip a
teeny weeny bit of information in a TV interview late last night.

Apparently
Aishwarya and hubby Abhishek, after being married for four years are now ready
to have a bunch of kids.

"Of course, babies, motherhood obviously" she said, "God willing it is an
absolute gift. God bless when it is meant to be and of course we are looking
forward to it and we will definitely cherish the experience."

Ash also talked about balancing marriage and work and how hectic her life
has become. "I got married bang in the middle of a film," she said, "Five
years ago you would asked me this question I would have never imagined this
would have happened. I would have said I would wrap-up my work, take a couple
of months off, pamper myself and then gotten married. But there I go bang in
the middle of a historical piece."

Ash is now officially the highest paid Bollywood actress as she appears in
Rajnikanth's upcming sci-fi romantic flick 'Robot'. She says that she has
always been a fan of Rajni and that shooting for 'Robot' was extremely
exciting "Firstly because we've all grown up watching Rajinikanth films and
all those moves – it's been exciting, everyone around me was excited about me
working with him. So that got infectious. The first time he made a subtle move
– the kind that we see on television or in spoofs – I almost let out a chuckle
and thought, 'Oh my God! I have seen this moment right here. I just saw a
Rajini moment!' I was beeming throughout."

Although unlike the current trend, Ash has no interest in IPL. "We have not
thought or discussed it at all" she asserted.
