Aishwarya Rai Sparkles in 'O Bekhabar' from 'Action Replayy'
The song is performed by none other than Shreya Ghosal! Her amazing vocals have won her countless awards, and Shreya puts in the same effortless sound on this track. The song has our leading lady dreaming about her handsome prince. Aishwarya is seen in soft and elegant sarees. The colors are vivid and the prints are psychedelic, very fitting for the film's theme.
Ash and Akshay make quite an adorable on-screen couple. Akshay is quite the strapping fella in his unbuttoned shirts and long locks. The costumes are quite impressive and Ash's makeup is gorgeous! The movie was shot in Manali during the summer season and the scenes couldn't be any more delightful.
For Akshay this movie is something special, "It's a very special film for me for many reasons. This is my tribute to the 70s that was the greatest retro era. I was kicked with the idea because I'm entering the time in cinema where my father-in-law was a superstar. Ash and I had a brief romantic interlude in Raj Kumar Santoshi's Khakee, but Action Replayy is our first romantic comedy together. Believe me, I was blushing through the making," he told reporters.
Action Replayy is a comedy based on a 1994 Gujarati play and tells the story of a man in Mumbai who travels back in time to the 70s when he was young and handsome. Kishen, played by Akshay and Mala, portrayed by Aishwarya, are constantly fighting but they manage to rekindle their love on their 33rd wedding anniversary.
Ash and Akki have had lots of fun on the set of the movie; from disco dancers to fun loving hippies, the cute Jodi has tried on several different looks for the comedy, some of which we see in this clip. With plenty more to come from Action Replayy, the first few glimpses have been intriguing.
Watch the video for the song "O Bekhabar" and let us know if you are eager to see this film.

Aishwarya Rai hot at Cannes 2010
A video report can be found here, comparing Aishwarya and Deepika in the Cannes 2010.
On the first day when Aishwarya made an entry at Cannes 2010, she was wearing beautiful violet embroidered tulle and mouseline gown from Lebanese designer Elle Saab. Everybody agreed that she looked stunning and elegant in the gown whose color matched her skin tone. But many fashion experts believed that her hair Buoffant hairstyle that she sported with the gown was questionable. They said that she had a fuller face and the hairstyle highlighted the roundness of her face.
The second day Aishwarya wore a stunning black sequined Armani Privé gown but again, she sported a boufant hairstyle which many say, was a turn off. Her style and the dress got a thumbs up otherwise. But her style was overshadowed on the second day because Deepika Padukone made an appearance at Cannes 2010 in a beautiful saree. Deepika has been receiving rave responses whileAishwarya Rai got lukewarm response on the second day.

Ragini in Raavana is a strong woman: Ash
Aishwarya Rai started her film career with Mani Ratnam's Tamil film Iruvar in 1997, but says she feels "confident" about doing more Tamil films only now after the multilingual Raavan with the National Award winning director.
"I understand a bit of Tamil and speak a bit of it. For me, it is very important that I understand the meaning of my dialogues before I deliver them. I can't just mug up the dialogues. So for Raavan, I made sure I knew what I was saying and yes, I have improved a lot on the language and I am confident about doing more Tamil stuff in future," Aishwarya said.
"After Raavan, it was like - 'Come on! Bring on Robot (now Endhiran)," she told reporters at the music launch of Raavan.
Raavan
Aishwarya plays Ragini, a classical dance teacher. The first look into the movie shows her dancing gracefully in a song where she has been picturised getting cosy with Vikram, who plays her husband in the Hindi version of the film.
One mention of how beautiful the dance moves looked, and Aishwarya said: "Aww...Thank you so much."
Talking about her role, she said: "This was an extremely challenging role for me. To shoot it in Hindi and Tamil at the same time was quite a task. But the experience was so wonderful that if Mani sir asks me, I am ready to do it all over again."
According to the 36-year-old, her role was a discovery and a mystery.
"Ragini is a strong woman and very relatable to the modern Indian woman. She speaks her mind. I say discovery because we kept discovering fantastic locations and got to see so many places. We used to trek every morning to be on the sets
"The role remained a mystery because I was playing the leading lady and there I was with no make-up, no fancy clothes and all drenched in rain with mud all over. But that's what Mani sir expects from us to keep it all as real as it can get," she said.
Aishwarya says they used to give shots with "snakes a whisper away" and that they "must have donated blood to 300 leeches".
"All in all, it was an incredibly original experience. It was almost like being on a Fear Factor show," she added.
The movie, co-produced by Reliance BIG Pictures and Madras Talkies, is expected to release June 18.

Abhishek, Ash to celebrate third anniversary in US
Bollywood star couple Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai are set to ring in their third wedding anniversary
Tuesday in the US, according to sources close to the actors.
Abhishek's father Amitabh Bachchan on his blog Sunday said that the couple was taking a flight to New York.
A source close to the couple told IANS from Mumbai, "The two have gone to an undisclosed destination and will be back in time for the music release of Raavan on April 24."
Abhishek too posted on his Twitter page: "...It's Houdini time again. Have managed to abduct the wife. See you all soon."
According to another source, the duo have been planning this holiday so that they could spend some time together after keeping busy with their respective shooting schedules.
Last year, the actors took out time for a week-long vacation while they were shooting for Mani Ratnam's Raavan, which is among their most awaited films this year.
On their first anniversary, Abhishek was busy shooting in Miami for Dostana, but wife Aishwarya joined him there.
The couple got married in 2007 in a grand wedding ceremony
at Bachchan's residence Prateeksha in Mumbai.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: The case of the 125 dresses!
Bollywood flicks are famous for giving their female leads a whole load of branded costumes and perhaps an equal if not more, number of jewellery sets.
But, reportedly, the number of costumes that the wardrobe in charge of the heroines clothes, does not have to bother for more than 40 dresses on an average.
Now, ask the wardrobe in charge of Aishwarya’s clothes or costumes in the film ‘Action Replayy’,and you’ll know that the actress gets to wear an astounding 125 dresses to make her look on top of the world!
Ask any of the insiders, and they’ll tell you that it is a fact that Ash has got that many costumes, but only because her character in the film is absolutely obsessed with clothes. She is a woman who is passionate about clothes, and just adores wearing a new outfit every time she appears in public.
Well, speaking of Ash and her flair for carrying almost any dress under the Sun with great style and confidence, this movie is surely going to be a treat to watch for her fans to watch. The film is directed by Vipul Shah, and it has Akhsay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as its leading pair.
Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Kumar have great chemistry in 'Action Replay'
April 19, 2010, (Sawf News) - Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar's great chemistry in the upcoming period comedy has director Vipul Shah wondering why the two have not been paired earlier.
The two featured together in Khakee (2004) but Aishwarya was paired with Ajay Devgan in the film.
"Akshay and Ash look terrific together. I am surprised that no one has thought of casting them as a romantic pair. They are outstanding," Shah tells IANS.
Aishwarya's wardrobe overdrive
Aishwarya's retro look is something else, Shah is excited about.
"She is in a retro look. She looks gorgeous in every look but no one has seen her in retro look. It's fantastic to see her in the new light, he says
Aishwarya reportedly wears 125 costumes in the film. Her character in the film loves to dress up.
"It's a script requirement. That's how her character is etched out," explains Shah. "She is simply a person who loves to wear clothes and keeps shopping all the time. I had no clue that the number of costumes had extended to such a number that the girl who was managing her costumes kept coming to me for more and more space to keep them. That's when I realized that the number had gone so high."
Action Replay is tentatively scheduled for release in July, 2010. The finally schedule is currently being wrapped up in Manali.
The film is based on a Gujarati play of the same name that Vipul had staged over 15 years ago. Set in Mumbai, it is a humorous take on a person who travels back in time to the 1970s.

Aishwarya Rai ACTION REPLAY to tickle your funny bone in July!!
Aishwarya Rai, the gorgeous Bachchan bahu who plays the lead in Vipul Shah’s upcoming flick ‘Action Replay’ opposite Khiladi Akshay Kumar, is all set to tickle your funny bone in July with her first ever comic role in this venture.
Though, Aishwarya Rai’s another flick ‘Raavan’ directed by Mani Rathnam will be releasing on June 18, Vipul Shah feels that it would not affect the box office prospects of his ‘Action Replay’. The confidence of the veteran director comes from the fact that ‘Action Replay’ was as different from Mani Rathnam’s ‘Raavan’ as chalk and cheese, and hence, they would have different segments of patrons for them.
In fact, ‘Action Replay’ is out and out comedy, wherein Ash will be showcasing her comic talent for the first time, while ‘Raavan’ is based on the mythological story of Ramayan with modern interpretation to suit the contemporary times. Trade sources say that despite of all differences between the two movies, Vipul Shah is likely to consult director Mani Rathnam before deciding upon the final release date of his flick.
He will also have to take into consideration the fact that November month has already been indicated by another maestro Sanjay Leela Bhansali to be the release date of his upcoming Aishwarya starrer flick ‘Guzaarish’.
Even otherwise, Aishwarya Rai is needed by Vipul Shah to complete a song number for his ‘Action Replay’, which is yet not been shot. As the song requires Ash and Akshay both at the same time, Vipul Shah is trying to co-ordinate the dates of the duo before deciding upon the venue of shooting.
Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar are teaming up for this flick after a long time on the screen. Their earlier outing together was ‘Khakee’, but that was before marriage of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: The Impressive learner pleased Mani Ratnam!
This film, directed by the great stalwart Mani Ratnam, is being made in 3 languages, Hindi, Tamil and Telegu. In Tamil, it will be called ‘Raavana’.
However, the news is that for this film,(Tamil version) the leading lady, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, will be dubbing her own lines. This has pleased the director very much. The reason for being so, is because Aishwarya, who belongs to Mangalore, speaks the language ‘Tullu’, at her parents place, hence she was not very fluent with theTamil language. Thus, in 1997, when she had worked in the Tamil Film ‘Iruvar’, by Mani Sir, she could not dub her own lines. The job was done by a professional Tamil dubbing artist.
Now, after a lapse of almost 13 years, she is working with the director again, and there was a professional Tamil teacher hired to train her on the finesse of the language. Aishwarya, who proved that she was a good and hard working student, learnt the language in 6 months flat.
Sources reveal that she has dubbed her lines so well that any one that hears it feels that it is the work of a professional artist. The impressive learner had managed to please Mani Ratnam. Well, what can we possibly say but, Great going Ash!

Ashwarya Rai works hard to get 'Mumtaz' look right
Aishwarya Rai has never shied away from experimenting with her looks. And it has always worked for her. From the traditional Bengali belle Paro in Devdas to the tomboyish Sunheri in Dhoom II , all her looks have been applauded. But it seems Ash got a bit apprehensive about going for a retro look in the film Action Replayy. The reason was, the look was partially inspired by yesteryear's heroine Mumtaz and Ash did not want it to go wrong.
The buzz is that Ash closely watched Mumtaz's hit films such as Tere Mere Sapne, Khilona and Aap ki Kasam and also instructed her team
of makeup artists to get the look bang on.
The result, we hear, was amazing - Ash looks stunning in her retro look.
A source says, ' It was very important to get Ash's look accurate as she plays a character set in the 1970s. Her makeup artist watched a lot of films made during that era to study its trends and styles. The filmmaker wanted Ash to sport a look similar to that of Mumtaz.
Ash also watched Mumtaz's films and made some suggestions.
Though the look is basically inspired by Mumtaz, the makeup artist has also copied bits of some other heroines of that era.' Ash had said, ' It was a great experience to change my looks. I have had to sit with my makeup man for many hours to finalise my look.' Apart from Aishwarya, Action Replayy stars Akshay Kumar, Randhir Kapoor and Neha Dhupia.
The movie is directed by Vipul Shah.

Aishwarya Rai climbs steep mountains for Abhishek RAVAAN!!
Aishwarya Rai, the gorgeous Bachchan bahu who plays the lead character of Sita in Mani Rathnam’s upcoming mega-budget flick ‘Ravaan’ opposite hubby Abhishek Bachchan did not hesitate in climbing steep mountains for shooting an important sequence of the flick with lead actors Abhi and Vikram.
All the members of the production unit were taken by surprise when Aishwarya trekked the same route twice without any complaint whatsoever. It had even left cut marks on her beautiful persona but Ash was undeterred in her effort and gave the best possible shot.
As Mani Rathanm is making the flick simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil and two different heroes Vikram and Abhishek play the lead, Aishwarya had to accompany both of them to the top of mountain to complete the shoot. Though her beautiful face received some bruise marks and all that but Aishwarya completed the shot convincingly.
The movie is almost complete and Mani Rathnam has even chosen eighteenth of June to be its release date in the theatres worldwide. Meanwhile, there is also talk of ‘Ravaan’ going to be screened at the Cannes film festival on May 14.
The industry is abuzz that Mani Rathnam has chosen an unconventional end for his upcoming flick and Sita would be siding with Ravaan and not hubby Ram. Sources say that when Ram doubts Sita’s chastity after she comes from Ravaan’s custody, Sita simply walks out with Ravaan and the movie ends.
‘Ravaan’ is a modern day adaptation of Ramayana and stars Aishwarya, Abhishek, Govinda, Ravi Kissen, Vikram etc. While Vikram plays the title role in Tamil, Abhishek Bachchan enacts the same part in Hindi version.

Four films await release for Aishwarya Rai this year
Last year she was seen in just one film -- Hollywood’s “Pink Panther”. But this year Aishwarya Rai has four films lined up for release -- two southern projects “Ravana” and “Endhiran” as well as “Action Replay” and “Guzaarish”, collectively costing over Rs. 300 crore (Rs.3 billion).
While her bilingual sci-fi film “Endhiran”, starring southern star Rajnikanth, is said to be made at a budget of Rs.125 crore (Rs.1.25 billion), approximately Rs. 45 crore (Rs.450 million) has been spent on Mani Ratnam’s much-awaited “Ravana”, which is set for a June release.
Vipul Shah’s “Action Replay” costs around Rs.60 crore (Rs.600 million) and if reports are to be believed, UTV is shelling out close to Rs.80 crore (Rs. 800 million) for Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed “Guzaarish” for which Aishwarya is currently shooting along with Hrithik Roshan in Mumbai.
Aishwarya has been busy shooting all these films for the past one year and even suffered health problems due to her hectic schedules.
According to a well-placed source from the team of “Ravana”, the Hindi version of which also features Abhishek Bachchan, the actress has given some of the most difficult shots in the movie without complaining about geographical or weather conditions used to can the scenes.
“Aishwarya’s role in ‘Ravana’ is the toughest. In the Hindi version, Vikram (southern star) plays Ram and Ravana in the Tamil vesrion. And Aishwarya plays Sita in both the Hindi and Tamil versions. Both the versions were simultaneously shot. Mani Ratnam canned the film in the most difficult and dangerous places. Still Aishwarya gave the same shots twice for the two versions - be it in the rain, on mountains, jungle, etc,” a source told IANS.
“People say Vikram’s role in the film is the toughest, but the actor himself feels Aishwarya’s role is the most difficult,” the source added.
While shooting for “Ravana” in the jungles of Kerala, the entire cast and crew had a scary experience when an elephant ran amok and killed a 51-year-old mahout, Andavan. The actors including Abhishek, Aishwarya, Vikram, Prabhu and Munna had to take shelter in a guest house and survived on bread and eggs.
“Ravana” is said to be a modern-day version and a loose adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana.
Apart from “Ravana”, Aishwarya’s role in another southern project “Endhiran” has been a well-guarded secret till now, but some leaked photographs of the film’s shooting show her in a different avatar.
“Action Replay”, starring Akshay Kumar, is a time-travel tale in the 1950s and its storyline is based on an eponymous 1994 Gujarati Indian play. The director has emphasised a lot on the lead actors’ “retro looks” in the movie.
“We, Akshay’s designer Shabina Khan, Aishwarya’s designer Manish Malhotra and all of us have worked really, really hard to give ‘Action Replay’ a unique look. If that look is leaked out, we’d lose our biggest USP,” Shah had told IANS.
In “Guzaarish”, the actress will play a married nurse who falls in love with a paraplegic patient essayed by Hrithik.
Though each role is different from the others, it remains to be seen which one of these strikes gold at the box office.
Akshay's wish to colour Ash red
Akshay Kumar is apparently sulking with filmmaker Vipul Shah. He wanted very badly to play Holi with his heroine Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in their film Action Replayy. But despite Vipul’s best efforts, he couldn’t come up with a Holi song that justified Akki and Ash together.
Instead, it was Neha Dhupia who got a chance to colour Ash red in the song. Aishwarya had a rocking time shooting for the Holi song. Akshay apparently was complaining that he didn’t get to participate in the song that he liked so much, nor did he get a chance to dance with Ash. But this time his complaints fell on deaf ears. Vipul was adamant about not changing his original sequence.
Akshay missed the chance to play Holi with Aishwarya!
Bollywood stuntman Akshay Kumar was unhappy recently, as he couldn’t play Holi with his co-star Aishwarya Rai.
It is being learnt despite Vipul Shah’s best efforts, a Holi song justifying Akki and Ash couldn’t happen.
However, Neha Dhupia got the chance to apply colours on Aishwarya in the song.
According to reports, Akshay was complaining as he didn’t get the chance to be a part of such a beautiful song. But the director remained unmoved by the actor’s complaints and he is not ready to change the original sequence.
Well, we really doubt if Akshay just wanted to be the part of the song or he wanted to colour Aishwarya.

Amitabh Bachchan Blasts Mumbai Mirror Over Aishwarya's Baby Drama
Although Abhishek Bachchan and wifey Ash have put their baby plans on hold for a while, they have always said that they are taking their sweet time due to their hectic schedules.
But after Mumbai Mirror claimed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan cannot conceive because of her stomach tuberculosis and that the she is trying to hide to truth, her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan, declared war against the newspaper!
"The article was indecent and any man in the world must oppose if such an obscene article is written about a woman in his family. The modesty of a lady in my house was slandered… the article slandered Aishwarya, so it was very difficult to participate in a function organized by the same media house,” he said on his blog.
Well now Big B has taken to his voice blog to diss the Times of India group again for their story about Aishwarya Rai’s 'pregnant pause.' Listen to it here, courtesy of Miss Malini, and share your thoughts.
We don’t believe in family planning: Abhishek
Actor Abhishek Bachchan is miffed with a certain section of the media for contemplating and wrongly reporting about some personal issues regarding his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But apart from that that actor seems to be in a good mood, including his winning the Golden Kela Award (on the lines of Hollywood Razzies) for the worst accent (Delhi 6).
Now never mind that, as the world speculates about Ash’s pregnancy, Abhishek urges everyone to please stop! He had told us, “When I become a father, it’s obviously going to be a happy day. When I get to know I am going to become a father that will be momentous as well. But it’s funny how the world keeps speculating about a lady’s pregnancy. Pregnancy is not an easy thing to hide, you know, guys!”
When the actor was asked if he is indeed planning to go the family way, he was quick to say, “We don’t believe in planning such things. When God wills and the time is right, it’ll all happen!”

Ashwarya Rai, the 50 kg Taj Mahal!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the cynosure of all eyes when she graced the audio launch of Rettaisuzhi on Monday evening.
The actress, who rarely attends public functions, was in the city to shoot for her Endhiran and director Shankar (who is the producer of Rettaisuzhi) pulled a coup of sorts by inviting her to be the chief guest. “It’s a humbling experience for me to be here,” said the actress, who was described as a ‘50 kg Taj Mahal’ in a song, “The camaraderie in the Rettaisuzhi team is evident and based on the few scenes I saw, I’m sure the movie will be a wonderful family experience.”
The actress recalled her memorable days with Shankar while filming Jeans. “In many ways, Jeans was the reason that I’ve achieved so much. That movie taught me a lot technically,” she stated, “We’re just completing the final schedule of Endhiran currently, and I’m glad that Shankar called me for this event.” Rettaisuzhi, which features legendary directors K Balachander and Bharathirajaa in lead roles, has been directed by Thamira and has music composed by Karthik Raja. Celebrities present at the launch included Vairamuthu, Mahendran, Parthepan, Linguswamy and Sasi, among others.
Aishwarya having a wonderful time working in ‘Enthiran’
She is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says that her stint in the Tamil film industry is an important part of her career and a great learning experience.
The 36-year-old actress may have reached the very top of the industry, but says that working with ace Tamil director Shankar in Jeans “taught” her a lot.
“Working in Jeans remains an integral part. It taught me so much technically and content wise and now I am having a wonderful time working in Enthiran (the sci-fi flick starring Rajnikanth, directed by Shankar),” said the actress.
In one of her rare public appearances in this southern metropolis on Monday evening, Ash, as she is fondly known among her fans, lauded Shankar saying that “he makes incredible movies.” The Guru star, who is now working in her third project with Mani Ratnam in Ravana, confessed that she too was a member of the audience.
“I am as much as a member of an audience as much as the film fraternity,” she said to loud applause at the audio launch of Rettaisuzhi, produced by Shankar.
Rai started off her brief address in chaste Tamil, greeting the audience but soon switched over to English. Nevertheless, she seemed to understand Tamil, as she was seen reacting to remarks and observations made by other speakers.
Veteran Tamil directors K Balachander and Bharathirajaa, both of whom are credited with redefining the content of Tamil cinema with their revolutionary and rustic subjects, share the screen space for the first time in the film, being directed by Shankar’s associate Thamira.

Aishwarya returns on work..
But now she has been recovered and was on a full-day photo shoot on Friday with the actor Akshay Kumar at Film City.
Doctors advised Aish to take bed rest as she was suffering from sore throat as well as body pain. So after taking rests for a few days, she went to visit Abhishek’s maternal grandmother in Bhopal for her 80th birthday and now she returns back to work.
Her illness created a speculation that she is suffering from the stomach tuberculosis that is creating pregnancy problems for her. Though, both Abhishek Bachchan and her father-in-law, actor Amitabh Bachchan have accused the tabloid for involving in such an irresponsible journalism.
Welcome back Aishwarya and we pray for your good health ahead.
Aishwarya Rai hogs the limelight!
Ash who came with her mom looked simple and elegant in a white designer sari and flashed her famous smile and won over everybody including veterans like K.Balachandar, Bharathiraaja, director Mahendran among others.
Two songs and trailer were screened for the invitees who were overflowing and could not be accommodated. There were utter chaos and confusion outside the hall where invitees were not allowed inside due to lack of seats and for security reasons The audio was launched by Aishwarya who gave the first copy to Vairamuthu.
The presence of Aishwarya Rai had an electrifying presence at the function and took the limelight away from the audio launch as speaker after speaker was praising Aishwarya’s beauty, her simplicity, down-to-earth nature and so on. Poor Ash who could not follow what they were talking, but sat patiently and pretended to be enjoying every bit of it.
The dignitaries on dais were director Thamirai, music director Karthik Raja, Parthipan, Hansraj Saxena, Vairamuthu, Ramanarayanan, VC Guhanathan, Abhirami Ramanthan, directors Sasi, Lingusamy and Ameer. The hero and heroine of Rettaisuzhi had no seat and were seen watching the proceedings in a corner..
The flow of events was the normal one with each and every speaker praising Shankar and his S pictures for making quality films and wishing Rettaisuzhi all the best. Said Shankar: “ I am very proud that I produced this film in which two veterans of Tamil industry KB sir and Bharathiraaja are pitted against each other. Recently I watched a Hindi film 3 Idiots and came out smiling. Similarly, I assure that after watching Rettaisuzhi everyone will have a smile on their face”.
Shankar also praised Aishwarya to the skies: “She is not only the most beautiful woman in the world but a hard working artiste, dedicated to whatever she does. Even while we were shooting in a forest near South Africa, she adjusted in minimal comforts and rough terrain”.
Ash spoke the last and she was all smiles as she greeted everyone saying Ellavarkkum Vanakkam and said: “I am so happy to be back in Tamil working with incredibly talented and wonderful people. KB sir and Bharathiraaja sir, your generosity to me has been a bit overwhelming. I saw the trailer and songs and think that Rettaisuzhi will be a complete film for family watching. I enjoyed working with Shankar sir in Jeans, a film that was an integral part of my career. It taught me so much about the importance of content and gave me confidence to make it big later. Now the last schedule of the Enthiren is going on and Shankar sir is one human being who has his soul in the right place and all his films have something to say to the audience. I thank everyone for all the love showered on me”.
